30hr Funding Survey

The Government is extending the free early education and childcare entitlement for eligible 3 and 4 year olds from 15 hours to 30 hours per week from September 2017. All 3 and 4 year olds will still be entitled to 15 free hours per week.

The additional 15 hours will be available to families where:

  • Both parents are working (or the sole parent in a lone parent family) and
  • Each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent of 16 hours at national minimum wage or national living wage (approx. £120 per week depending on their age) and
  • Each parent earns less than £100,000 per year
The additional funding is available to parents on statutory leave such as maternity leave, paternity leave and long term sick leave if the other criteria apply.

We are still waiting for further information from Kent County Council and we are still unsure whether it would be beneficial for Cobham Community Pre-School to offer the additional funded hours.

Please could you help us by completing this short survey. (We understand that your circumstances may change between now and September):
